Without a doubt, the manufacturer Xiaomi is preparing its return to the tablet market. First rumors in the month of April at the time put the file on the table concerning the arrival of a Mi Pad 5, followed a few weeks later by more concrete evidence unearthed in the lines of codes of MIUI 12.5.

Here, Xiaomi’s idea is to compete with high-end devices from Samsung and Apple, thanks to three tablets in particular powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC for two of them, and a Snapdragon 860 chip for the last. Also mentioned is a 10.92-inch IPS screen with Full HD definition and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

A certification to be treated with caution

Now another element brings new information about them. According to a Weibo blogger cited by MyDrivers, at least one of the Xiaomi tablets would have been certified by the organization China Compulsory Certification (3C). The source nevertheless remains to be taken with a grain of salt, since its information has not yet been corroborated.

According to her, this famous certification would make it possible to know the capacity of the batteries installed in the Xiaomi tablets: they would have the right to a double accumulator of 4260 mAh, or a total of 8520 mAh. This concept of a double accumulator is interesting, since it would suggest two cells that could be recharged simultaneously with high voltages. Add to this a smaller capacity than on the Mi Tab 4+ and we can easily hope for a battery compatible with real fast charging. For comparison, the Galaxy Tab S7 + comes with only a 15W charger.

A launch not so long ago?

Here, it is difficult to say if this type of battery will invite itself on the most high-end Xiaomi tablet version, knowing that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 + offers one of 10,900 mAh. If the Chinese manufacturer really wants to put a spoke in the wheels of the leaders, perhaps it will be necessary to strengthen its game.

However, certification from an organization shows two things: that the product does exist, and that its marketing is no longer that far. However, it is not known whether Xiaomi will decide to launch its new tablets on the European market, and more specifically in France.

In the coming weeks, the media will therefore not fail to scrutinize potential new certifications, which would undoubtedly mark an additional step before its official release.
