ChatGPT Store

OpenAI has postponed the introduction of the GPT Store until early 2024, Reuters writes. The American AI research agency would first like to make some improvements after feedback from the first users.

The editorial staff of the Reuters news agency has been able to view an internal memo from OpenAI containing the news of the postponement. However, it is not clear when exactly OpenAI plans to release the GPT store.

OpenAI announced a new platform at its developer conference in early November that will allow users to create customized versions of the AI chatbot. These custom GPTs are only available to ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise subscribers.

OpenAI also announced the GPT Store at the time; that’s a store that the creators of custom GPTs will be able to monetize. OpenAI also shared a screenshot of the digital store showing examples of modified versions of the AI chatbot. Creating and sharing GPTs has been possible since November 6. OpenAI initially wanted to open the GPT Store in December.
