Spotify plans to integrate full music video clips into its service. Bloomberg writes this based on its own sources.
Spotify is said to be in talks with “partners” about adding music videos to its service, Bloomberg writes . The site does not share more information. It is therefore not clear when the function should become available. Spotify declined to respond to Bloomberg’s questions. Apple Music, among others, has been offering this option for some time.
Spotify previously introduced Shorts, which allowed users to upload thirty-second clips. However, this function was not intended for music clips, but for artists to make short announcements, for example. In April, Spotify did add video podcasts in the Netherlands. The layout of the app’s home screen has also recently been adjusted to give videos a bigger role.
